WARNING: DO NOT do this if your computer is networked (Ask your LAN administrator). This solution is only for stand-alone PC's.

  1. Double-click "My Computer"
  2. Double-click "Control Panel"
  3. Double-click "Network"
  4. Click "Add"
  5. Click "Client," then "Add"
  6. Click "Microsoft," "Client for Microsoft Networks," then "OK"
  7. Click "OK" (You will be prompted to insert your Windows95 CD-ROM or disks)
  8. Restart your computer
  9. When Windows95 starts, you will be prompted to enter a username and password. You can enter a name, but leave the password blank. Click "OK." If a "Confirm Password" box pops up, click "OK" again. This will prevent the Logon box from appearing the next time you start Windows.
  10. The next time you connect, the "Save Password" checkbox will be enabled. Enter your password and click the checkbox.
